LOVED it. From your review, it sounds like they butchered it to make it into a movie. The play is funny, campy, great music, a nice story and Constatine from American Idol and the girl were both good in their roles of making you believe the love story and wanting to see them together. Seems like they took two people with no acting chops and butchered the story. I agree with you that musicals are supposed to have the entire song. We will probably still go and see the movie just to compare.J.J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13538857167622260019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1942675219210652018.post-72349445353364177632012-02-26T10:54:16.896-08:002012-02-26T10:54:16.896-08:00Great stuff Vince. Give me a comedy, Clint Eastwood/John Wayne western, sports movie, superhero movie or a good mafia movie and I'll watch.

Out of your lists here, I've seen Moneyball, Captain America, Thor, Bridesmaids, The Muppets, Conan O'Brien Can't Stop, Our Idiot Brother, Horrible Bosses, Friends With Benefits, Limitless, Ides of March, Crazy, Stupid, Love; Green Hornet and Just Go With It.

I liked all of those movies. I think Bridesmaids, Crazy Stupid Love, The Muppets, Horrible Bosses and Ides of March were my favorites.

I think Emma Stone should be on your list of rising female stars unless you already consider her as being entrenched as a star. Of course, when she becomes my second wife and starts popping out babies, she'll have to put her career on hold for a couple of years LOL.J.J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13538857167622260019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1942675219210652018.post-22181313386115270492012-02-03T18:10:22.655-08:002012-02-03T18:10:22.655-08:00This might be another go see for me.This might be another go see for me.J.J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13538857167622260019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1942675219210652018.post-8952492105625272542012-02-03T18:07:30.352-08:002012-02-03T18:07:30.352-08:00Thanks for the review Vince. If this is better than that, I'll really enjoy this. I like a good vs. evil story that is well told and has good action. This one in particular which is described by you gives me the sense you are being well in pointing out great scenes dispite the some of the predictions. I feel you give full and honest at discription where you sense not to be critical. I will begin to see more of this and very interesting because there is not 1 person who does not want to watch a good movie. The last movie i saw was Change Up in the theatre and enjoyed it very much, now it is on sale at the stores. Now also have netflix which i am starting to enjoy but lately have had trouble with time mgt. and tv or movies. I've loved this movie forever -- it's in my top 10 of all time, I think. Great list here, but I would have included Monty Python's "Life of Brian" too. I laugh just thinking about that film. And Peter Weir's "Picnic at Hanging Rock" was hauntingly beautiful (I had to find that panpipe theme music on YouTube and listen to it again just now; it's as mesmerizing as ever). I liked his "The Last Wave" too, just because its tone was so quietly disturbing. Maybe these are among the foreign films you mentioned? But there's one more I can't forget: "Return of the Secaucus Seven."
