LOVED it. From your review, it sounds like they butchered it to make it into a movie. The play is funny, campy, great music, a nice story and Constatine from American Idol and the girl were both good in their roles of making you believe the love story and wanting to see them together. Seems like they took two people with no acting chops and butchered the story. I agree with you that musicals are supposed to have the entire song.
